2013: A Year in Preview
January 1, 2013 § 2 Comments
January 13th: Girls is back. I hear Hannah snorts coke with Elijah this year. Very much looking forward to another season of horrible, self-defeating escapades.
January 31st: Last 30 Rock. High likelihood that I will not be able to get out of bed the following day.
March: Rachael Stone’s book, Eat with Joy, comes out. I’m such a fan of this lady’s writing style, and her message is life for a dysfunctional food culture.
March 31st: A Game of Thrones
April 4-6: Conference on Open theology, just down the road in St. Paul.
May 17th: Star Trek: Descent Into Darkness
Mid-June: Farmers market returns; I will be over-ambitious and buy too much kale.
July 5-8: Lindstrom’s summer festival, “Karl Oskar Days.” This year I am determined to make it to the fancy straw bonnet building workshop, also known as “Ladies Night Out.”
September: Covenant church’s women’s retreat at Lake Beauty
November: What? There are no more Twilight movies? Worst November ever. No. Don’t even talk to me about The Hunger Games. Just…no.
December: How could I top my holiday season of 2012? I mean, I made a sinewy goose for Christmas…I got my husband a mug…I put ornaments on our house plants. Who could ask for anything more? …Puppies. More puppies would definitely be an improvement.
What are you looking forward to this year?
Another wonderful year with my wife.
Oh, that reminds me:
July 10th: Our anniversary. We will talk about doing many things and going many places. Will most likely end up spoon-feeding each other Nutella and watching The Hobbit.
